The Blush Trend

Pink never goes out of style.

Growing up, I was a total tomboy- like everyday ponytail and tennis shoe kid. I HATED pink. It honestly was probably because my mother always wanted everything to be pink, so naturally I was the complete opposite just to be stubborn. (sry mom!) Since aging and developing my own sense of style, I can’t live without it. I wear at least one item that is somewhat pink everyday, even if it is only just an accessory. Here’s why:

Pink is flattering. After you find the shade that is perfect for you, stick with it. If you love all shades of pink, even better. But most people argue that pink is not their color… wrong, you just have to find your shade.

Pink is strong, powerful and feminine. It makes a bold statement. Take Legally Blonde for example, Elle Woods stood out among the sea of black. To others, her intelligence was questioned, but she proved them all wrong.

Pink is fabulous. Blush is beautiful. Not so vibrant, Blush was the color of the summer and will make a gorgeous appearance this winter.

This stunning blush dress is from Molly Green Birmingham. The top is fitted with a flattering flowy skirt. The dainty straps are so feminine including a small lace detail that is also found around the hem of the skirt. It would be a perfect look for a wedding, either with the bridal party or as a guest.

A simple, pretty blush dress can be casual or dressy in it’s own. It can be styled with jewelry or worn bare. I have it paired with double strap black heels by Steve Madden. These are one of the most comfortable pair of heels I’ve ever worn! I think that simple shoes would be worn best with this look, whether it’s flats, sandals, heels or even booties. If your style is more bold, you can match the dress with a colorful pair of heels or booties that will ensure you to stand out from the crowd!

For accessories, I am seen wearing my Kate Spade Metro Watch and Bracelet along with a gold flower bracelet I purchased from Charming Charlie last year. This pair of sunnies was one I grabbed on vacation this year from Kate Spade. They are oversized.. what more could a girl want? My bag is also Kate Spade! Blush and Black spots, oh yes!
